we're all sitting in our bed right now trying to decide what to do for the day. Our options feel awfully limited with a 5 year old, 2 year old, less than 2 week old and a mommy who is still recovering from massive surgery.
movies? mall? park? hopefully we can get outside and see the sun for a bit!
We just put the kids down to bed which is always an exhausting task, so I figured I would relax a little. I've been dying to blog, so I grabbed the laptop, and yes, I took it with me to the bathroom. TMI, I know.
So, I'm sitting there, logging into typepad when Jacinda comes in to wash her face. Right then, one of the kids screams and comes running out their bedroom. Jacinda opens the door and follows in hot pursuit. But, she left the door open.
Did you remember that we are "community living"? With the door wide open, Bruce, my father-in-law walks by. So yeah, pants around my ankles, MacBook in lap, I say "hey bruce"
I'm up at 1am right now because my sweet little baby is having a rough night. We think she has gas pains. So, up I am looking online to find the nearest 24 hour place. Walgeeen's it is. Closest one...8 miles. Got there got the stuff and back home. Hope it works. I'm freaking tired
6lbs, 15oz, 20 3/4" born today, March 17th (St. Patty's Day!) at 10:08
She came out a little purple and because of the C-Section, she had some complications with clearing her lungs and we are still watching her. Her oxygen level wasn't staying up where it needed to be so they had to put a clear O2 hood over her head to regulate the levels, she's got an IV for nutrients, a tube down her throat to keep her belly from filling with air and a bunch of other little nodes attached to her.
I just went in and saw her and although we still haven't been able to hold her, i got to kiss her head because the hood has been removed. She's sleeping quietly and all her vitals look much better. Now we are just waiting for our pediatrician to check her out and clear her to get all the junk taken off of her.
Thanks for all the prayers and if you haven't already, check out my twitter feed which chronicled the day. It was a blast!
