i don't know yet. sometimes i really want to pour my heart and soul into it, others, I just don't care, and even other times, I freak out that so much of my life is out there on the web. weird.
we are house-sitting for some good friends of ours, the Temples, this week and were watching Royal Pains on hulu.com and Jacinda fell asleep. So, I turned the show off and thought I would check out the blog world.
so, now that twitter and facebook are ruling your life, do you find the blogging slowing down?
Well, this marks the first day of June. I will turn 30 this month. dun dun dun!
Jacinda and I are working on our "Total Money Makeover" so I already told her I don't expect much in the way of gifts. I said a CD and some cards from the kids would be cool. Usually, we're all about the gifts. Hence, the Total Money Makeover.
Anyway, she emailed me today at work and announced that I will be getting a birthday month where she plans something fun to do each day in honor of my birthday. Tonight is our normal date night, so we are dropping the kids off with G&G and going to see "I love you man" and eat some chipotle. That is pretty much the perfect date for me by the way!
I can't wait to see the movie. I love both those actors, I'm just hoping it's not over-the-top crass like some of their movies are.
The Rabbi implores, "don't you understand that discipleship is not about being right or being perfect or being efficient? It's all about the way you live with one another." the success or failure of a given day is measures by the quality of our interest and compassion toward those around us. We define ourselves by our response to human need. The question is not how we feel about our neighbor but what we have done for him or her. We reveal out heart in the way we listen to a child, speak to the person who delivers mail, bear an injury, and share our resources with the indigent.
This last weekend was full of graduation festivities. Friday I got to see my brother graduate with a degree in criminology and then later that same day we saw his wife, Jessica graduate with her master's in physical therapy. Talk about some milestones!
So proud of them and can't wait to see what life will look like for them now.
At the graduations, which everyone knows are super boring, my brother and I started joking around and posing in the background of other people's photos.
I got caught in the background of this one that my mom was taking of my bro and sis-in-law's family. Nice!
Wow. I just ran through some of the links that I have on my blog and realized some of them haven't been updated in months!
I know I'm a blog slacker, but dang!
I'm hoping to get some time this weekend where I can do some updating. Busy weekend lined up though. Have a good one!
