Jacinda and I love to watch, "So You Think You Can Dance" and this little clip comes from last weeks show. We were dying laughing. I literally got up out of my chair and was stumbling around the room. I had to pause the show in order to calm down so I could hear what they were saying. There's a little commercial or something at the beginning of the clip, so sorry about that, but watch the whole thing, too funny.
One of the newest summer shows on Fox is "On the Lot" created by Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg. It's seems like a mix between the Apprentice and American Idol. Same intense music and lighting, just without the Donald. The judges are Carrie Fischer, who was princess Lea (sorry, star wars people. I probably spelled that wrong), Gary Marshall, who has produced movies like Pretty Woman, and Brett Ratner who has done such movies like X-men: the Last Stand.
It's actually amazing how much these guys can create in the little time they have. So, if you're bored of re-runs, this show might be worth a shot.
I finally got to see the season finale of heroes today. Jacinda doesn't care to watch it and we've been up late all this week watching the shows we both like, so I hadn't seen it. Jacinda called me today, letting me know she was going out, so I could watch. I freaking jumped out of my chair, grabbed some fast food and headed home. What can I say? LOVED it! This season finale killed 24's! I can't wait to see what happens next season.
My guess is that Peter Petrelli is still alive, hopefully Nathan got away in time, and Hiro is going to meet his father who is actually the original Kensei master, kind of like Highlander? Hmmm, can't wait.
Tonight marks the end of yet another season of 24. I'm sure Jack Bauer will save the world, but by killing how many...I don't know. I am excited to see the season finale, to see how the whole deal gets wrapped up. I gotta say though, for me, this season has lacked that "wow" factor for me. Again, they killed a major character (which I secretly love) but the story line just isn't as dynamic or something. I can't put my finger on it.
The one I'm really excited about though is one of my new favorite shows, Heroes. This whole season has been great, I just wonder how many seasons they could pull off unless they really leave this one hanging. Will Hiro save the world? with Nathan Petrelli die? What's going to happen with Sylar? I'm pumped!
SNL was funniest when I was in high school. The church lady, the spartan cheerleaders, the ladies man, mary-katherine gallagher, the singing teachers, mango... oh man. good times. Well, if you haven't seen the commercial (i know we probably all fast forward through them), SNL Live in the 90's will be on this Sunday night at 9pm for us left coasters. Check your local listing, because you are not going to want to miss this!
The Apprentice turned out to be a really great season this year. I don't know if it was because they moved to LA, the budding romance, or the living outside thing, but this was definitely a more interesting year. I almost gave up on the Donald though. The last 2 seasons haven't really done anything for me, but I really liked most of the candidates this time. It didn't seem as though they were picking characters to make good TV, just good candidates. The projects were better, the results were better (in most cases) and I was pretty happy with who he ended up hiring.
I am completely convinced now. The Office is the best freakin' show on TV. I can't believe how hard I laugh. I can't believe the subculture that exists apart from the show; the webisodes, the YouTube shorts, Dwight's blog...it just keeps getting better.
Check out my new "video of the week" in the top right corner where Jim impersonates Dwight. If you don't watch this show...well, I just don't know if we can be friends anymore.
Besides the "vote for the worst" people, I don't know who in there right mind could vote for this guy. You should be voting for the best, not someone you think is okay. I think American Idol has lots of wrong in it though. First of all, why do they do those cheesy, sing-along, all together bits on the results shows. They are terrible sounding! I wish the judges could talk on that. Plus, people vote for people they like, but not whose CD they would buy. I'm just not going to buy Melinda's CD. She is an amazing vocalist, but there's nothing for me to grab onto there. It's pretty much the same for me and the rest of the contestants. Although I can see how Blake would sound really good as part of a band. I also like Chris for the same reason. It just all seems like an act to me (it is I guess). It's hard to feel passion by singing someone else's songs I guess.
