I was showing Jacinda a couple "blog tips" and thought I would put this comment on Los' website under his tattoo post. I just wanted to see how many hits I could get from causing a little controversy. Love ya Los. Thanks for being my famous friend.
I don't know if it's because I'm bored, or that one of my best friends is moving across the country, or that I am drinking in more sugar than I have in awhile in my Coca-Cola Slurpee from 7eleven, but, I'm in the mood to change some things around. I'm gonna start with my blog. So, it might look a little weird for awhile. I'll probably be moving stuff here and there. I realized that I hardly ever go to people's actual blogs because I read most of them with my RSS (Google Reader). Plus, it just seems a little cluttered. So, here it goes...
Paul from cries of the heart made me aware tonight that I didn't have his blog linked under my "link love" column. If you are a reader and I don't have your link right or you would like me to add your link to my sidebar, let me know. Tell me who you are, where you are from and your greatest sin...I mean...how long you've been hanging around here.
Linking is the power of a blogging community, so let's make sure we are all supporting each other!
My blogging anniversary that is. November 29th, 2005 I made my first post on my original site http://halefamily.blogspot.com . I started off using Blogger which is a free blogging service offered by google. It worked well for a first go, but everytime you want to change something in the sidebar, you gotta go read a book on HTML code. I think it is different now, but back when I started blogging, you had to blog barefoot, in the snow and write your own code!
TypePad is my current home and I'm still loving it. Maybe if I was more tech savvy, then I would go with something that had more flexibility, but for me, it works great. Some features still don't work using Safari, but FireFox works perfectly. So, Happy Anniversary to you blog!
Warning! There is someone out there in the blog realm who is acting like they are us. Apparently it started with all the Sandals Church blogs. I first heard of this guy about a month ago, when a fellow blogger emailed me to see if I left a certain comment on his site. I hadn't but someone had signed in as me and left a rude comment. I then found out that the same guy had left a pretty mean comment on Tammy Brown's blog. I'm just letting everyone know, that if you get a comment from me, or anyone else you know, and it doesn't seem like me/them, email us to see if it is authentic.
All of you commenters out there: I hope I speak for everyone when I say that us bloggers hate "anonymous" comments. If you aren't willing to stand behind what you say, don't comment. If you are afraid to put your name or email out there, then this isn't your gig. We are real people who are trying to share our real lives in a hope to find community.
I have also had a guy leave comments, signed in as "Hell-Yes!", an obvious mock of my blog name, "Hale-Yeah", which is my last name. This applies to you: You need to either start revealing your identity or stop commenting. I WILL delete every comment you make. This is the internet, so anything can be commented, but it is my blog, so I will censor and judge comments made on my personal site. I do not approve of certain ways of talk or words. There is a way for me to block these things, and I have taken the precaution. I can also block your IP address.
Sorry for my angry tone, but these guys are really ruining a good thing here. You think they would have something better to do.
She is. I just love her and her mom so much, that I don't have time to blog when I'm at home. With Melania's birthdate a week away, we have been working like dogs to get everything ready. I normally try to put a quick post in at work, but I've been trying to get everything dialed in so I can take some time off with the new baby. I haven't even been reading everyone else's blogs. I feel completely disconnected. I'm just hoping the hospital has wi-fi so I can catch up. I checked out a couple of my friends, but most importantly, you need to check out Los'. Congrats brother on the new baby boy! My friends Los and Heather have been in the process of adopting a little boy from Korea. Well, this last weekend they finally found out all this hard work was going to payoff. Here he is, Losiah Whittaker:
