Well, it's been a couple years and I'm finally making some technological switches in my house. I have had Dish Network for a couple years now, I stuck with them when they dropped MTV and then watched as we all complained and they put it back on. I started with 2 TV's and 2 recievers to now where I have one reciever that works 2 TV's and can also store 100 hours of digital content. It's been great. There are just a couple things that have consistently got on my nerves and today I dropped them. I wanted to network them into my AT&T bill to get a price reduction, but they wouldn't let me and they also wouldn't let me cancel and then set it up again with AT&T unless I waited 6 months. So, C-YA! I am also dropping my SBC DSL this week too.
Comcast is my new provider. It is a little more expensive, (about $20 a month) but, it is hard-lined into my house, I don't have to reconfigure a dish, and the Broadband is faster than the DSL. The guy comes on Saturday, just in time for the season premiere of 24 on Sunday, so, wish me luck. Also, if anyone out there uses Vonage, I'm interested in seeing what you think. Maybe I'm a sucker for good advertising. I love those Comcastic commercials!
Plus, the new Apple TV and Apple Extreme require Broadband. Just covering all my bases and preparing for some cool gadgets.
